Mediation and Domestic Violence

*Note: This 2 Day course can be taken separately, but is part of the Family Mediation: Theory & Skills certificate course. This program is considered part of the Domestic Violence training requirements for OAFM and FMC certification.
**NOTE: Any registrations made within 10 business days of the course commencement will be subject to an additional $50 administration fee to cover the additional cost of printing materials and other extra administrative costs.

Objectives
Participants wil learn how to:
- Screen for Power Imbalances and Abuse
- Determine who is/is not appropriate for Mediation and the best alternatives for resolving family law disputes
- Introduce Safety Measures to protect clients, children and staff
- Adapt Parenting Plans when abuse is an issue
- Identify the concerns of women from diverse cultural backgrounds
