Helping people improve their relationships
To feel self-confident and optimistic about the future, it is important to feel good about your relationships at home and at work. Central to all relationships are:
- good communication skills
- effective conflict resolution strategies
- an understanding of different personality styles
- techniques for handling stress, depression and anger
Our professional practice offers the following services to help you feel better about yourself:
Individual Counseling:
For those who want to improve their understanding, personal skills and their feeling of control over significant life events. Relationship problems and such issues as stress-related difficulties, depression, low self esteem, a lack of intimacy, harassment, anger management, or abuse in both personal and work related situations can be addressed.
Marital Counseling:
For those who want to improve their marriage by learning more effective communication techniques, conflict resolution styles, and anger management skills. These can be applied to personality differences as well as to issues of trust, role definitions, sexuality and value differences. As a preventative, pre-marital counseling and separation counseling can ease the transition from being single to being part of a new family unit and the transition from married to single.
Family Counseling:
For those who want to improve their relationships as parents, or between parent and child or across several generations. Differences in expectations, values and personality clashes can be addressed and a resolution reached that meets the needs, and is acceptable to all participants.
